Flight Tasting – Alpine Beer Co.

Full disclosure, I’ve loved Alpine beer for a long time. I used to produce a show called Crafty with Aaron and Grant, and we tried multiple times to get them to do an episode starting in 2012, but they weren’t having it. Probably because we were huge noobs back then who didn’t know anything about beer. But I’ve always held the brewery in very high regard, and when we were developing What’s On Draft, one of my goals was always to feature Alpine. When I ran into Bobby Matthews at the San Diego Beer Week Brewer’s Guild VIP dinner last November (2015), I mentioned the new show to him and he immediately said “we’ll make it happen”. A month later, despite my original camera operators bailing on me, I showed up at Alpine’s new restaurant and did a flight tasting with Bobby.
